Site problems
Update 7:39pm: Looks like my web host accidentally deleted the DNS files for the domains on my account! They re-instated them and the sites will hopefully be up soon. I’m terribly sorry for people who are missing streaks because of this… I’m missing my own as well. Stay tuned for more updates as I hear about them.
The site has been going down intermittently. I am trying to track down the source of the problem and think it has something to do with the eternity stats page, which has been getting slower and slower as the site is growing. I’m going to have to figure out how to speed that page back up or take it offline.
In other news, my wife is 38.5 weeks pregnant and is expected to go into labor unexpectedly sometime in the next 1.5 weeks give or take 2.0 weeks. I’m doing my best to get everything in order before then and will have a tiny bit of time to attend emergencies after that happens, but my responsibilities will be reduced to keeping the site up rather than addressing all of the various emails and feature requests that I get. I hope you can understand! Don’t worry, I’ll be back in no time at all and will do everything I can to keep the site interesting and useful for you all.
